About This Performance

The meditative and expressive works of Catalan composer Federico Mompou fit the intimate Salon setting perfectly. Mompou was considered a master of the short character piece. These selections showcase the composer’s ability to write instantly memorable material that evokes a wide range of moods, from desolation to uninhibited joy.
